Eric Wilder
Murder Mysteries, Ghost Stories Suspense Novels, Short Stories, and now Screenplays
Born in Vivian, a northwest Louisiana hill town, Eric graduated from North Caddo High in 1964. He attended college at Northeast Lousiana State College in Monroe where he met and married a south Louisiana girl. His new mother-in-law's gumbo could put Emeril's to shame. He earned a bachelor's degree in geology from Northeast before heading to southeast Asia for a fourteen month stint with Uncle Sam.

Following the Army, he earned a Master's degree in geology from the University of Arkansas. Always an avid reader, he discovered his love for writing during the oil bust of the 80s.

Eric married his second wife, Anne Hathaway, one of the smartest and most gorgeous persons he ever met. Anne died following a courageous fourteen month battle with cancer.

Eric has written about seventy short stories and nine books, more than a few of them murder mysteries. Many of his short stories and mysteries draw on his knowledge of geology and the oil industry. He is currently collaborating with a Hollywood producer to adapt the novel Big Easy for the screen. He is an avid blogger and has written extensively about the 80s oil bust, and oil patch lore on his blogs.

Eric now lives in Edmond, Oklahoma with wife Marilyn. He has five dogs, Lucky, a Labrador retriever, Velvet, a Shepherd mix, an Australian Cow Dog named Patch, a pug named Princess. and a new puppy Scooter. He has one cat, a female Maine Coon named Rouge. Fang, a big white neighbor's cat, spends more time at his house than at his own home.
